Sammi & Jacob's Cultural Wedding Celebration at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Sammi and Jacob flew to Utah from Washington DC for their beautiful wedding celebration! With Sammi’s Chinese heritage, they incorporated a tea ceremony into their wedding festivities. It was a gorgeous, family-centered wedding day.

After their sealing at the Mount Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, the wedding party headed to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for the Chinese Tea Ceremony. Sammi wore a beautiful traditional Chinese wedding gown as she and Jacob served their family tea. The families gave them red envelopes with wedding money and heirloom jewelry.

Dinner, dancing, and cake cutting followed the tea ceremony. Grandma made sure to get in a little nap between festivities.

Sammi and her dad surprised their guests with a guitar battle at the end of their father daughter dance!
