This is my Baachan, my grandma. We have a special relationship.

It wasn’t until I served a mission in Japan, learned Japanese, and became more curious about my family history that we developed a strong relationship. I discovered that she is hilarious, unbelievably sassy, and so much fun to be around. She started teaching me her Japanese recipes and we study Japanese together everyday. I love spending time with her.

Believe it or not, my Baachan hates photos. Letting me take these of her is another testament of her love for me. She knows how much photography means to me, and is willing to do anything for me. I love her and her big heart.
